March 22nd Dinner Meeting - Fair And Affordable Santa Rosa
Last year, the Santa Rosa City Council passed a Rent Stabilization Ordinance that capped rent increases on certain types of housing at 3% per year. That measure was nullified by a big-money, aggressive, signature-gathering effort by a statewide organization of apartment owners.
The City Council was forced to put the measure on the ballot for the June 2017 primary election. Councilmember Julie Combswill speak to the ordinance’s provisions and there will be a Q&A period, as well.
Please note: The Membership will be asked to vote on whether we support the ordinance or not, following the presentation.
